Design and construction of a new 1500sqm industrial building to house Ascot Sign Co completed this month. The two-unit industrial development consisted of two 600sqm warehouses with adjoining 150sqm offices. In addition, the project built was with concrete tilt panels and steel roofing to meet the needs of the growing sign company.
Ascot Sign Co is a locally owned and operated company that specializes in custom sign design, fabrication, and delivery. Their portfolio also includes domestic, private, corporate, government, and commercial clients ranging in size from small to large.
Because of good design, construction, project management, and documentation, the project finished was actually ahead of schedule and on budget. This meant the client had plenty of time to relocate from their old location, which had grown antiquated and unable to satisfy the company’s needs.
‘Many businesses in older industrial parks are now looking to capitalize on lower prices and cheaper build costs to relocate into new, customized facilities’ explained Built Ink Director and Design Michael Little. ‘Ascot Sign Co is a company that is looking ahead and making effective moves in the perfect economic climate for cost savings.’
Ascot Sign Co relocated to the new Tonkin Highway Industrial Park by Linc Property Group. A logistically well-located industrial park within the Perth metropolitan area. In addition, Built Ink has also completed a number of projects within the estate to date.
Ascot Sign Co-Director
Director of Ascot Sign Co, Dario Bottega, was happy with the decision to hire Built Ink for the project, saying the following.
‘We recently built our new factory in the Tonkin Highway Industrial Estate with Built Ink. From the moment we received the original concepts we were sold. We were also impressed with their head designer, Michael Little. His ability to think “outside the square” to create something both innovative and unique is indeed impressive. Once manufacture commenced the project progressed smoothly and efficiently. Their project manager, Paul Little, was consistent across what was happening on-site, besides keeping us informed with their developments. They maintained a tight building program. Hence, completed various stages on or before the scheduled date.
The finished project was of very high quality, with high-end finishes and fixtures. Even today, after months of settling into our new factory, it is a pleasure to turn up every day to appreciate a factory different from anything else. It is something we are very proud of.
We highly recommend Built Ink for any building project and have no hesitation in using them again.’
